Qualitative Fit Testing

We offer qualitative fit testing including training compliant to standard CSA Z94.4

We test all brands and makes of disposable N-95s.

A qualitative fit test involves a testing solution, a vaporizer pump, and a testing hood.

1. We will test your sensitivity to the testing solution. Please keep in mind that the test is based on your senses to assess the fit of the seal of your mask.

2. You will receive training on the mask you are being tested on, including donning, seal check, and safe removal. The technician will provide you with any necessary follow-up instructions or adjustments to your mask.

3. We will then proceed with the fit test. Using a testing hood, the technician will saturate the atmosphere surrounding the mask with testing solutions and guide you through seven short respiratory and movement-based exercises with the mask or respirator on.

If at any point during the fit test you experience discomfort, please inform the technician immediately. Remember, the proper fit of your mask is crucial for your safety in hazardous environments.

• Avoid smoking, eating, chewing gum, and drinking any fluids except water for 20 minutes before the test.
• You must be clean shaven, no exception
